Alankrita Sarkar

Alankrita is leading the international/ European projects and programs from Vereniging Deltametropool as a strategic spatial planner and research coordinator. Her role in the association revolves around bridging research and practice agendas and positioning the Netherlands in the European context. She is also busy with an additional role with her PhD research at TU Delft about shifting towards value-based spatial planning in the Flemish-Dutch Delta, at a time of climate change. Her interest lies in understanding the metropolitan landscape and urbanisation through spatial planning systems in relation to governance and society. She is thoroughly engaged in the development of knowledge network and community of practice on cross border development around the themes of climate transitions and delta challenges.
