Adrián Arnaiz

Researcher in fair and responsible artificial intelligence

Adrián Arnaiz is a PhD student at ELLIS Alicante, the first Spanish unit within the ELLIS pan-European network (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems). With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a master’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, he started his research career at the University of Burgos, using machine learning and network science for health and social analysis. His current PhD topics are algorithmic fairness, graph theory, and causality for improving ethics, accountability, and transparency in algorithmic decision making. His work comes under the auspices of the European ELIAS project (European Lighthouse of AI for Sustainability).
