Marcel Hanoun. «L’Été» by Aaron Cabañas

July-August 2022

The film critic, Aaron Cabañas, presents L’Été, the first film from Marcel Hanoun's quadriptych, Les Saisons, set in France in May 1968. In this film, which addresses issues such as individual freedom and political commitment, the cineaste intentionally reveals, for the first time, the narrative device or mechanisms that allow him to create cinema, as if to emphasise the fact that it's fictional.
