We invite you to play at being a filmmaker using the films of Agnès Varda. You’ll be able to edit your film using fragments of the French filmmaker’s. You’ll discover the director’s iconographic universe and have a taste of editing work: selecting, ordering, splicing.
The Mashup Table is a device that allows you to make a film in real time using excerpts from different films, in this case Varda’s. Explore the director’s iconographic universe and get a feel for editing in an intuitive, playful way: select, order and splice.
Agnès Varda experimented with the expressive possibilities of audiovisual editing. The director coined the term “cine-writing” to describe the work of filmmakers: narrative and formal research characterized her work.
