Debate
Voices from the academy and activism reimagine the role of dissidence and solidarity in a context marked by the rise of authoritarianism.
Far from being ghosts of a past apparently overcome, the extreme right and authoritarian ideologies are making a disturbing comeback. In this context, critical voices and minorities are often the first to be silenced: asserting their rights is a fundamental act of defense of both democracy and life. Facing the current authoritarian drift, building new imaginaries of solidarity and collective transformation is today a gesture of radical hope.
This event is held in the framework of the seminar From Disobedience to Solidarity.
