TEDxRamblas: I HAVE AN IDEA

Debate

Free

Turbulent, unstable, mercurial times. Times of change with echoes of revolution in distant countries but also in others that are dramatically near at hand. Times of negative news, day after day, in all the media. Relentlessly. Monotonously. Amid the flotsam there are people, like you and me, who believe that ideas introduce colour to the black and white all around us.

This is the thread running through TEDxRamblas 2012, the colour introduced by the different brushstrokes of proposals presented by a series of speakers, each from a different angle (engineering, architecture, medicine, education, of course, art, economics, communication, etc.) but all with a common denominator: to find positive ways to change society by means of education. We’re looking for specific, realistic, practicable ideas for a change of paradigm in education. We see education as the basis for improving people’s quality of life.

“I have an idea” presents specific ideas for improving the world by means of education, with presentations such as “Sustainable economy” by Xavier de Pedro, “Cofinancing and collaborating for the commons” by Enric Senabre, “Two more projects and a new project” by Charo Quero and Laia Serrano, “The EspiRA augmented reality in education project” by Juanmi Muñoz and Xavi Suñé, “Mobiles to improve life” by Núria Oliver, “Teachers’ VAT” by Gregorio Luri, “From passive consumer to participatory user: how much do we need to know about computing?” by Jordi Delgado, “CCCBeducation” by Ramon Espelt and Lali Bosch, “Education, coaching and sustainability” by Arantza Uriarte, “A singular education project: schools in tandem” by Salvador García, and “Centro Xamfrà” by Ester Bonal, closing with a concert.
