The CCCB presents OVNI 2005 Resistances, the biennial independent video event that will be held between the 25th and the 30th of January 2005 in various spaces within the center. OVNI, the Observatorio de Vídeo no Identificado (UFO - Unknown Frame Observatory) returns, with more than one hundred and fifty works from thirty six different countries.
OVNI 2005 Resistances brings together videos that speak in many voices and different languages about the resistance movements spreading throughout the world ....Palestine, Iraq, Venezuela, the United States, Barcelona itself...Autonomous Zapatista communities, Islamic movements, indigenous rhizomes, temporary autonomous zones - communities and individuals engaged in a struggle but also in dialogue...with the desire to create links between different heterodoxies and critical thinking in response to the current global empire, the search for new alternatives for survival, dialogue and community.
