Oh! I Can’t Stop!

Audiovisuals

Following the exhibition “Gameplay. Videogame Culture”, this session presents a series of experimental films made in analogue format in the 1970s, 80s and 90s that have connections with and echoes of the imaginary, rhythm and language of videogames, regarding aspects related to the creation of immersive spaces, the subjective point of view and the narrative structures of repetition/variation. The typical frenzy and energy experienced in many videogames are also conveyed in this session through accelerated movement and its effects on the spectator’s body.
