The Festival of New and Pocket Opera is a space for: • the promotion of new, small and medium sized, operas• research (new sounds, creative concepts, design etc.)• creation (composers, librettists, stage directors)• training (composers, librettists, singers)• communication between cultural agencies and creators• promotion of work by emerging creators• international meeting and exchange.

Bruna de Nit, music by Xavier Pagès and libretto by Joan Duran. Concert version of the opera. Absolute premiere. In the framework of the Pocket Opera and New Creations Festival, the CCCB presents the work Bruna de Nit .

One day, in a land that could be far away or very near, time stopped. The reason was of the strangest type, but none the less worrying for all that: the moon ceased to move across the night sky. The kingdom's problems caused worldwide alarm: the King had lost his mighty strength, the wise men didn't know what to make of it, the farmers couldn't get their strawberries or peppers to grow, pregnant women couldn't give birth... the Doctor of the kingdom simply couldn't cope. It was a world on the verge of collapse
