From Plato to Saramago and from Calderón to Huxley, volumes have been written about the “cave”. The idea of composing an electro-acoustic work on the subject led the author, Eduardo Polònio, to associate the myth with another no less well known story: the Minotaur and its labyrinth.
The eight loudspeakers of the octophonic concert are obviously outlets-outlets for the flow of sound. But they are also entrances, entrances to a magical, rhizomatous, labyrinthine world. A place that is easy to get into, but perhaps more difficult to leave...
