Hipnotik Festival 2009

Hipnotik is an event all about Hip Hop culture, which has seen over 21,000 young people aged 15 to 30 participate since it was first held at the CCCB four years ago. Year after year, it has become one of the benchmark events for hip hop music culture.

 

Hipnotik is a multidisciplinary festival that takes in the four main forms of Hip Hop: dance (break dance), music (dj), writing (rap) and visual arts (graffiti), plus other forms of expression influenced by this worldwide movement. 2009 sees year six of the festival, with a whole range of activities: new concerts, break dance (Crew to crew, Hipnotik Playground, new style, bgirl battle), talks and a graffiti exhibition with guest artists.

 

Hipnotik will take place on 11, 12 and 13 September. Activities at the CCCB are on 12th and 13th, and include concerts, talks, and breakdance and new style battles.
