Death in Baghdad

Remembrance of death in a world at war

Scene + Music

A tribute to the civilian and military victims of the Iraq war, which can be extrapolated to any other. Thirty-eight amateur actors of all ages lie in their coffins while the audience enters into a world of anonymous voices that bear witness to barbarism. The texts are written by professionals in various fields: teachers, journalists, civil servants and freelance writers. A poignant production that is half avant-garde theatre, half artistic performance.
