BCN-mp7 comprises seven sessions of creation, mix and debate about contemporary popular music. The cycle is made up of colloquiums devoted to open critical reflection on the current music scene and concerts that aim to establish new fusions and frictions between the various musical genres.

What is the status of music criticism? The role of music journalism in the press, radio, television and the Internet. Dependence and independence in recording today. The role of the media in the music circuits. Models and styles of writing. Mimesis and impoverishment of the language of criticism.
