BCN-mp7 presents seven sessions of creation, mix and debate about contemporary popular music. The cycle is made up of colloquiums devoted to open critical reflection on the current music scene and concerts that aim to establish new points of fusion and friction between the various musical genres.

7.30 p.m. Colloquium with Oriol Rossell, David Albet, Jace Clayton and Philip Sherburne.
9.30 p.m.
Concert with Spring Heel Jack and Miquel Gil. With the participation of drummer Mark Sanders and guitarist Spyros Kaniaris.

Evolution and mix of contemporary popular music. Proliferation and mutation of musical genres. Internal history, styles and positions. The impact of technology. Tradition, experimentation and permeability between genres. Conflict of definitions. Obsolete and new categories.
