Pierre Lemaitre (Paris, 1951) has consolidated a brilliant literary career with exceptional success among both critics and the public. With Au revoir là-haut (Albin Michel, 2013) he won the Prix Goncourt, the highest distinction in French literature.

His creation of detective Camille Verhœven, protagonist of the series formed by the titles IrèneAlexRosy & John and Camille, confirms the success and value of this author. This tetralogy has been distinguished with awards such as the Cognac Festival Prize and the CWA International Dagger for the best translated crime novel. In addition to the Goncourt and three Dagger Awards, Lemaitre has obtained the Le Point European Crime Fiction Prize, the Lire magazine Prize for the Best French Novel and the Prix des Libraires de Nancy-Le Point.

His work, with over three million readers, has been translated into over eighteen languages and screenplay adaptations for television and cinema of some of his titles are currently in process. Trois jours et une vie [The Great Swindle] (Albin Michel, 2016), the latest novel by the author, consolidates Lemaitre as one of the most successful writers on the world scene.
