Arkady Babchenko and Emir Suljagi?
The Cruellest WarsAt a young age, Emir Suljagi? and Arkadi Bábchenko were witnesses to two of the cruellest wars to strike Europe in the 1990s: the first, as a refugee in Srebrenica, during the Bosnian war, and the second as a Russian soldier in Chechnya. Their first-hand accounts stand out for their complete independence and because they are written with an excellence that transcends the terrible facts that they describe. With the presence of these two authors, we will attempt to explore up to what point it is possible to describe the horror of war and talk about the need to leave a testament to barbarity for future generations.
