Full member of the European Academy of the Institut International de Philosophie, Vice-president of the International Academy of Philosophy of Science, fellow of the Center for Philosophy of Science (Pittsburgh). Honorary president of Proyecto Gran Simio (Great Ape Project). Editorial director of the zoological encyclopaedias of Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.
