Franco-Algerian philosopher.

(Tlemcen, Algeria, 1948). A philosopher, teacher and researcher in the Department of Ergonomics and Human Ecology at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, he is presently studying the changes state institutions have undergone in relation with the organisation of work. Prior to this he was Progammes Director at the Collège International de Philosophie of Paris. He has also worked as a researcher at the Laboratoire de Psychologie du Travail et de l'Action du CNAM (Centre National des Arts et Métiers), while combining his teaching and academic activities with public speaking. He has published the books Des Français contre la terreur d'État. Algérie 1954-1962 (Éditions Reflex, 2002) and Le Corps d’exception. Les artifices du pouvoir colonial et la destruction de la vie (Éditions d’Amsterdam, 2005).
