Naomi Klein

A journalist and writer, Naomi Klein is a regular columnist for The Nation, The Guardian, Harper's and Rolling Stone, and her articles and reports appear in many other publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post and Newsweek. She is a former Miliband Fellow at the London School of Economics. Her first book No Logo (Picador, 1999) was an international bestseller which placed her in the forefront of the antiglobalisation movement. In 2007 she published The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism (Knopf Canada), detailing her inquiry into what has become known as “disaster capitalism”. Her latest book, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate (Allen Lane, 2015), is a reflection on the need to transform the present economic model in order to respond to climate change. Naomi Klein has also written the screenplay of the documentary The Take / La toma (2004) on the occupation of factories in Argentina. She is a member of the Board of Directors of 350.org, a worldwide movement seeking solutions to climate change.
