A geographer specialising in issues of development and urban policy, in particular with regard to defining territorial and social strategies, she regularly works as a researcher and consultant for international organisms and for other European cities besides being vice-president of the Social Council of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She was director of the “Dialogues” section in the Universal Forum of Cultures 2004 and, since 2005, has been General Director of the Forum Foundation, which is mainly concerned with organising Forums around the world, managing the Barcelona Center for the Support of the UN Global Compact, supervising candidatures for coming Forum events and running the Peace Camp.
