Jordi Camí (Terrassa, 1952) is professor of Pharmacology at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. He is also director of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) and of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation for Research into Alzheimer’s disease. A specialist in the fields of neurosciences and drug abuse, he has worked for the creation and development of biomedical research centres, for example the Barcelona Municipal Institute for Medical Research (IMIM), the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), the Barcelona Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CMRB), and the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), of which he has been director since 2005. He has been awarded the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia Narcís Monturiol Medal for Scientific and Technological Merit (2000), the City of Barcelona Prize (2006), and he also received a Mention of Honour in the Queen Sofía Prize for Research (1990).
