Jordan Crandall, artist and media theorist. He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. His current artistic and research project, Under FIRE, deals with the organization and representation of political violence, and opened in October 2006 at the Seville International Contemporary Art Biennial. Two catalogues of Under Fire, produced in 2004 and 2005, were published by the Witte de With contemporary art centre in Rotterdam. Volume 3 is to be published by the Seville Biennial in 2007. Crandall writes regularly on culture and technology.
