Jeroen van den Bergh

Jeroen van den Bergh's main research area is the convergence of the economy, environmental science and innovation. He completed a Master’s degree in Economics at Tilburg University and a PhD in Economics at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. He has been an ICREA research professor since 2007 as well as being assistant director of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) and lecturer in Environmental Economy and Resources in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies at the UAB. He is also an honorary lecturer at the Institute for Environmental Studies at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. Dr. Van den Bergh has published more than a hundred and twenty articles in scientific reviews and is co-author or editor of sixteen books. In 2002 he was awarded the Royal Shell Prize and, in 2011, the Sant Jordi (Saint George) Prize for the Environment. He is editor of the scientific journal Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions.
