A writer and journalist, he has published twenty-five books - most of them short novels and collections of short stories - some of which are constantly being reissued. He has won some twenty literary prizes for short stories and the novel and the Trajectory Prize for his literary criticism as a whole. He has been a pioneer in working for the publication in Catalan of novels in digital format.

He works as a cultural journalist in the written press and radio, specialising in theatre and literary criticism. He also participates in colloquia with readers' groups in primary schools, secondary schools and public libraries participating in the network of reading promotion programmes.
