Based on the variation Kafka made of a popular Yiddish story in The Trial, The Man Who Waited is the story of a man who waits behind a closed door somewhat close to the truth. With expressionist traces of character and Arvo Pärt's music, this animation by the young Bulgarian, Théodore Ushev, has received awards in festivals worldwide from Iran to Canada.
