Abécédaire

Gilles Deleuze and Claire Parnet, France, 1988, fragment 15’, OVSS.

The philosopher Gilles Deleuze accepts the idea of on-going filming inside his flat for French television on the condition that it only be broadcast after his death. It is an interview conducted by his outstanding student, Claire Parnet, where different concepts closely related to the life and work of the philosopher are explained. The structure is marked by the letters of the alphabet which run from the "de-territorialised Animal" to the lightning bolt of the "Z".
