“Sade” explores the aesthetic, philosophical and political implications of libertine writer Donatien Alphonse François de Sade (1740-1814) in contemporary culture. This exhibit focuses on the multiple echoes and incarnations of a controversial cultural icon: it addresses the different ways of understanding the author’s work.

People under the age of 18 are not allowed to enter the exhibition due to the violent or sexually explicit nature of some of the works and documents on display, therefore booking groups with minors is not allowed.
