Feet, art and collective life

Body experience in the Francesc Tosquelles exhibition 6 to 12 years old

Come to visit the exhibition accompanied by the dancer Magdalena Garzón. We will do a body practice around the piece Caminar, by Perejaume, where we will pay attention to the feet and back to the rest of the body.

In 1947, Tosquelles formulated the idea of moving thoughts to his feet.
He said: “When we walk around the world, what matters is not the head, it is the feet. Know where you step ”. Tosquelles believed that feet helped people read the world.

In the exhibition, the artist Perejaume presents his piece Caminar and invites visitors to walk barefoot and feel the relief of the corks through the soles of their feet. And right next to it, we see the iconic painting by Tàpies, Matter in the shape of a foot, which reminds us how we know when we walk but we also leave a mark and a footprint.

We will be in this space of the exhibition and accompanied by the dancer Magdalena Garzón, we will do a body practice around the movement and how we know the world with both feet on the ground, and also rooting ourselves like trees, moving like to snakes, balancing on one foot, or taking off like birds... we will pay attention to the feet and back, to the rest of the body.
