“We are living today under a strict regime of time. We have work time, leisure time, school time and training time which are all tightly regulated, as well as timetables that are precisely coordinated with traffic and production. At any time, we have to meet deadlines, particularly with exams and loans. In the competitive economy we try to gain time. [...] under this pressure from time, time itself becomes a type of object that we can divide, dedicate, accelerate, save, use wisely and sell. It is simply a ‘scarce’ object.”
