Institut d'Humanitats

The Institut d’Humanitats de Barcelona, founded in 1986, is a private non-profit foundation created to reflect on culture in the conviction that debate and discussion of the major humanistic themes help us to understand the world that surrounds us. From philosophy to literature, from history to art, via the cinema and theatre, the Institute sets out to explore the world of the humanities and discover its various disciplines in the opinions of foremost intellectuals and thinkers. It also aims to further interchange between different fields of culture, helping to disseminate them and to host important manifestations of European culture.
