The latest book from César Rendueles, "Sociofobia: El cambio político en la era de la utopía digital" (Sociophobia: Political change in the era of digital utopia), firstly questions the ideological consensus surrounding the capacity of communication technologies to induce positive social dynamics. It also undertakes a lucid analysis of the capitalist society as a system that destroys community bonds, situating citizens at the centre of political demands.
The event and the book will be presented by Antoni Domènech, Professor of Philosophy at Barcelona University (UB) and editor of the magazine Sin Permiso; Manuel Delgado, lecturer in Anthropology at the UB and regular guest on Cadena Ser radio talk shows, and Isaac Monclús, cultural manager.
Presenters: César Rendueles, Manuel Delgado, Antoni Domènech
