The BOCA festival returns to the CCCB for a second year with showcase performances by Santa Salut, Munich HB, Kuu, Martigo, Julia Cry and DJ sessions by Ruru and DJ Guepard.
Young female rapper from Sabadell, Santa Salut, will be headlining this year, performing her hard-hitting and hi-energy tracks with a social, revolutionary and feminist flavour. The other artists in the lineup are Munic HB, one of today’s urban music revelations, the electronic pop artist Kuu, Martigo, another one of the promising talents from Mataró playing pop and reggaeton and the rapper Julia Cry.
And DJs Ruru and DJ Guepard are guaranteed to get the festival audience jumping with their mixes of trap, afro, hip hop, reggaeton and hits from the 2000s.
A music festival co-created by teens
The BOCA festival is a cultural and social event, exclusively for teens between 14 and 17 years old, in which to discover the live music experience and get creative thanks to the multidisciplinary activities on offer.
BOCA is organized by a Youth Council, a group of 15 young people aged between 15 and 19 who, together with the NouPOP association and the CCCB, are in charge of the artistic direction, content creation, production and management of the event. Over a period of nine months the group has discovered all the roles involved in a cultural event through workshops and meetings with professionals, in order to co-create their own festival and bring to life BOCA 2024.
