Rafael Gómez-Moriana
Rafael Gómez-Moriana is Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Environmental Design, directing its term-abroad program in Barcelona. He holds a professional B.Arch. degree from the University of Waterloo, a post-professional M.Arch. from the Berlage Institute in Amsterdam, and he has worked in the architectural offices of Dan S. Hanganu, Herman Hertzberger, and Blue Sky Architecture, among others. From 2003 to 2006, he directed Carleton University School of Architecture’s term-abroad program in Barcelona; from 1997 to 2002 he was Assistant Professor in the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Architecture, as well as Visiting Professor at Carleton University’s School of Architecture from 2000 to 2002. He is co-editor of Berlage Cahiers #3 The New Private Realm, and a regular contributor to Mark Magazine, in which he writes about contemporary architecture in Spain.
