Tatjana Gromaca

(Sisak, Croatia, 1971)

A journalist and writer, she studied Philosophy and Comparative Literature at the University of Zagreb.

She is author of the book of poems Nešto nije u redu? (2000, Something's wrong?) which has been translated into German and Slovenian, and has also published the documentary prose book Bijele vrane (2005, White crows), as well as the novel Crnac (2004, Nigger), winner of the Austrian Kultur Center Prize of Croatia which became book of the month upon its launch in Poland. At the same time, she has just put the finishing publication touches to Last & Lost, a book which she co-authored.

She is currently working as a reporter and cultural journalist for the Croatian weekly magazine Feral Tribune.
