SebastiÓ Alzamora

(Llucmajor, Spain, 1972)

Narrator and poet.

He became known with his books of poetry Rafel (1994, Salvador Espriu Prize) and Apoteosi del cercle (1997), poetry being a facet which he continued to cultivate with Mula morta (2001) and El benestar (2003, Flor Natural Prize at the Jocs Florals de Barcelona). As a novelist he made his debut with L'extinció (1999, Documenta Prize), which was followed by Sara i Jeremies (2002, Ciutat de Palma Prize) and La pell i la princesa (2005), a novel that won great acclaim from the critics and public alike and that won the Josep Pla Prize in the same year.
