He has lived in Barcelona since 1997. He has published several books of narrative and poetry, including Historias de Olmo (2001); Cálculo de Lindes; Derivas (1994) and Escrituras (1994). Some of his narratives have been translated into English, French, Italian, German and Greek.
He has compiled several anthologies: Mapa imaginario: Nuevos poetas cubanos (1995); 9 poetas cubanos del siglo XX (2000); Cuentos chinos extraordinarios and Cuentos contemporáneos -2 volumes (80 authors).
He has written an essay in the form of a biographical-literary book about Octavio Paz (Octavio Paz: el último moderno). He has published reviews, articles and essays in magazines such as Letras Libres, Lateral, Diario de Poesía and others, and edited the literary magazine Diásporas.
