Raquel Herrera

(Barcelona, Spain, 1979)

Writer and translator. She graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her investigations concentrate on the effect of new media on narrative, a subject which she explored in her essay Tempus Fugit. El relat interactiu (2004) and she has presented her work both at international (Interactiva 05, Merida, Mexico; Espacio Fundación Telefónica Buenos Aires) and Spanish levels (Mediateca Caixaforum Barcelona, Medialab Madrid, Camargo Cibernético, etc). 

As a literary translator, her work includes the essay The Paris Review. Entrevistas (2007), the novel about videogames JPod by Douglas Copland (2006) and frequent collaborations for art and new media magazines like A Mínima and Artnodes.

Recently, she has begun teaching at the l'Istituto Europeo di Design and at the studios of the Comunicació de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
