Professor at the School of Social Science, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, author of Just and Unjust Wars (Paidós, 2001) and War, politics and moral (Paidós, 2001).
He received his B.A. from Brandeis University and his Ph.D. from Harvard. He is currently professor of Social Science at the for Advanced Study, Princeton. His areas of research include political theory, moral philosophy, warfare and social justice. He is the editor of the journal Dissent. Among his publications are: On Toleration (1997), Just and Unjust Wars (1997) and Reflections on War (2004).
