Michael J. Sandel is Professor of Political Philosophy at Harvard University where for the last two decades he has been teaching a riveting course on justice which attracts hundreds of students every year. He is extraordinarily popular in the United States and in Asia where his lectures, in which he engages the audience in seeking solutions for the interesting ethical problems he raises, have sometimes attracted more than ten thousand people.
