(Badalona, Spain, 1942)


He holds a degree in Modern and Contemporary History, is a graduate of Technical and Chemical Engineering , and also studied theatre at the Adrià Gual Dramatic Art School. He began his career as a writer in 1997 with L'àngel de la segona mort (Ciutat de Barcelona Prize), the first novel of the trilogy L'atzar i les ombres, which also includes El trànsit de les fades (2001, Crítica Catalana Prize) and El metall impur (2006, Sant Jordi Prize). He has published L'home que va estimar Natàlia Vidal (2003, Prudenci Bertrana Prize) and the book of epigrams Fot-li, que som catalans! (2005), together with Xavier Bru de Sala and Miquel de Palol. Among his latest publications there are Nois, has vist la mare amagada entre les ombres? (Proa, 2008) and La pastoral Catalana (Proa, 2009).

He is currently a contributor to the newspaper Avui and the online publication Vilaweb and belongs to the Catalan language Writers Asociation.
