Photographer, exhibition curator and art critic.

(Barcelona, 1963). He has worked as a curator at the Santa Mònica Art Centre, at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) and has recently been curator of the exhibitions Joan Colom. Fotografías de Barcelona, 1958-1964 (Joan Colom: Barcelona Photographs, Ministry of Culture-Fundación Telefónica, Madrid, 2004) and Jo Spence. Més enllà de la imatge perfecta. Fotografia, subjectivitat, antagonisme (Jo Spence, Beyond the Perfect Image: Photography, Subjectivity, Antagonism, MACBA, Barcelona, 2005). Among his more recent publications are Habitaciones (Rooms, Breogán, 2000), Efecto real: Debates posmodernos sobre fotografía (Real Effect: Postmodern Debates on Photography, Gustavo Gili, 2004), and Historias de la fotografia Española. Escritos 1977-2004 (Stories of Spanish Photography: Writings 1977-2004, Jorge Ribalta, 2009). He is head of the Department of Cultural Activities at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA).
