Jordi Cornudella

(Barcelona, 1962)

He is a graduate of Classical Philology and editor by profession.

He has published two books of poems: Felí encès (1985) and El germà de Catul (1997), awarded the National Critics Prize for Catalan Poetry. He also published the essay on Nabí , by Josep Carner, and various studies and editions of the work of J. Carner, J.V. Foix, C. Riba and G. Ferrater. He has translated works by Epicurus, Seneca, Voltaire and D'Annunzio, and the poetry of some Greek and Latin lyric and contemporary poets. In 2003 he published Maleïdes les guerres , which brings together a hundred universal poems of all times about the disaster that is war.
