Jordi Batiste

Jordi Batiste is an active musician with a dazzling track record. Music historians cite him as one of the fathers of pop rock in Catalan after he formed part of IA & Batiste and, before that, Els tres tambors. But his name came to the fore when, jointly with Enric Herrera, he formed the group Màquina!, representing the Spanish music avant-garde as a mould-breaking way of making rock music. He has released various solo albums, the most recent being Nova, in which he goes back to psychedelia and fresh, vital, groundbreaking rock.
