Irene Zoe Alameda

((Madrid, Spain, 1974))

She has a PhD in Comparative Literature from Columbia University (New York).
She has translated the poetry of Damon Ferguson into Spanish and is author of the book of essays Escribir en la posguerra: La novela neopicaresca en la literatura europea (1942-1963), of the novel Sueños itinerantes (2004) and she also collaborated on the collective book of short stories La vida por delante (2005). She has also produced several short films that have received prizes at different international film festivals.
She currently lives in Spain, where she works as Professor of Philosophy and Theory of Literature at the Universidad Carlos III and at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. She also collaborates on some of the best-known art and literature magazines.
