Eduard Sanjuán

(Barcelona, Spain, 1956)

Eduard Sanjuán holds a degree in Information Sciences and works as a journalist specialising in International Affairs. Between 1976 and 1983, as well as collaborating on different publications, he was a part of the editorial team of Mundo Diario and later that of Diario de Barcelona.

He started working for the TV3 News Services in 1983, and from there, covered some of the major news events of the end of the century, and the crises following 11 September: the wars in Central America, the attack on Libya, the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, the fall of the Berlin wall, the Gulf War, the end of the Marcos era in the Philippines, the end of apartheid in South Africa, the Balkans War, the Zapatista phenomenon in Mexico, the fall of the Talibans in Afghanistan, to name just a few.

He is the author of Detrás de la cámara (2002), where he reflects on the vital and professional experience of being a special correspondent. He is also co-author of the books Las huelgas contra Franco. 1939-1957 (1978) and El món en un minut i mig (1999).
