Born in 1975, César Rendueles is one of the foremost radical leftwing thinkers of the moment. Lecturer in Sociology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and assistant lecturer at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Rendueles is a Doctor of Philosophy (UCM) and has published essays on issues related to social science, philosophy and cultural criticism. He was a founder member of the Ladinamo association for cultural intervention and for some years was responsible for the cultural coordination of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid. He has edited classic essays by Karl Marx, Walter Benjamin and Karl Polanyi, and in 2013 published the essential Sociofobia. El cambio político en la era de la utopía digital (Capitán Swing, 2013).
