Amador Ferrer

An architect, he has worked as an urban planning consultant in Paris, Morocco and Tunisia and has drafted urban projects for a number of municipalities in Catalonia and Spain. He has been director of Building and Heritage in the Barcelona City Council and coordinator of Urban Planning for the Mancomunitat de Municipis de l’Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (Association of Municipalities in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona), among other positions held in the public administration. He has taught at John Hopkins University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the l’Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia as well as at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Technical University of Catalonia) and the Ramon Llull University (Barcelona) inter alia. He is co-author of Transforming Barcelona (Routledge, 2004).
