Windows to the Universe
Astronomy Workshop for TeenagersFour hundred years ago, through his telescope, Galileo brought us closer to the stars. But it wasn't until the Space Race in the second half of the 20th Century that humans developed the technology that enabled us to observe the universe from beyond the earth's atmosphere, and discover an unexplored cosmos. The observation of light of different wavelengths, the exploration of outer space, tiny particles from distant parts of the cosmos and ripples in space and time are some of the processes that provide valuable, singular information about the universe, and open up windows that show us the cosmos from different points of view. Through explanations and simple experiments, students will also be able to open these windows that make it possible to discover the universe.
