Towards a Sustainable Future

Auroville 36 Years of Research

52', 2004.  Directed by Basile Vignes

Shows how a barren land (Auroville) can be turned into fertile land by means of renewable energies.

This documentary reviews 36 years of adventures in the discovery of sustainable technologies. Since 1968, a small group of people from all over the world have worked to build Auroville, a township on the east coast of southern India. The film shows how barren land can be turned into fertile woods through a slow process of reforestation using renewable energy sources.
