Slam Contest

Slam is a genre of oral poetry combining writing and performance that, like rap, was born in the street. Many people see it as one of the most vivid and revolutionary forms of contemporary poetry. It exists outside the bounds of the traditional artistic circuits and establishes a new kind of relationship between poet and public.

In Kosmopolis 08 we shall be able to enjoy a second Slam Contest in which the participants recite their poems and the public, as a randomly selected jury, will be given the task of judging the literary quality of the poem and artistic expressiveness of its exposition.
